Raising a Compassionate Child - The New Digital Age

There is no doubt that the new digital age is challenging, thrilling and exhilarating. It is thrilling for adults. However, as far as children are concerned, there is also a dark side. You see, children are now being taken into the digital realm so they can learn social skills and be trained in the digital world through education.

Parents should have an awareness of the dangers of the digital age. They should be able to recognize some of the dangers of the digital age, so they will be able to help their children recognize and act against them.

The first thing that parents should do is to teach their children proper social skills and independence. If the child does not learn to learn and gain independence, then he or she is likely to feel lonely, out of place and frustrated.

In fact, proper social skills and independence would increase the child’s ability to explore the world and he or she would be more likely to grow up and be independent. They are likely to be happy and prosperous.

In addition, when children grow up and are able to gain independence, they are likely to have a good school, get good grades and attend college. These things will boost their self-esteem and set them up for success.

Unfortunately, some parents do not know how to deal with these technological advancements and the dangers they present. For example, there is no need to allow your child to be on the internet while you are away from home, nor is there a need to allow your child to have access to the computer without supervision at all times.

In addition, parents do not have to allow their children to use the internet at home. Instead, they should ask their children to join them at their homes for dinner, to watch television or read a book. When parents are not around to monitor their children, it is likely that they will start to love the technological advances. This is because children will want to be part of the technological advances if they are going to enjoy the benefits that technology offers.

For instance, when children watch television or listen to music on the computer, they are allowing themselves to become part of the technological advances that they are using. What they are really doing is receiving signals of entertainment or information.

While, as adults, we enjoy watching movies or television programs, it does not mean that our small child should enjoy them the same way. Rather, they should view those kinds of things only if they come in their box and when we are around.

If parents are not around to supervise their children, the technological advances will also get out of control. They will find that they can get access to many different things that they might not be able to get access to if their parents were around.

Some parents are encouraging their children to use these technologies while others are simply resisting these changes. One thing is for sure. Those parents who resist these changes and embrace them will be the ones who will live happily.
